Treatment should address the specific patient needs to offer the ideal road of recovery. For patients requiring additional care after completing residential programs beyond IOP treatment, PHP can be a wonderful fit. There are several unique features of a PHP treatment for drug and alcohol addiction that make this approach effective in reaching sobriety.

Flexibility with Partial Hospitalization Programs

Patients in our Boston partial hospitalization program are able to receive effective care while maintaining a level of flexibility that allows them to meet any responsibilities outside of treatment. The program is an in-between, working to fill the gap between intensive hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient treatment. Patients in PHP are able to receive the treatment they need while still living at home or in a home-like setting. Generally, PHP treatment requires a minimum of 25 hours a week of participation from the patient.

Though PHP treatment is less intensive than other drug treatment options, it offers effective support for recovery. PHP includes day treatment options that incorporate:
